Thomas' New Trailer Bike

We bought Thomas a new trailer bike on Monday night. It's the kind that can be converted to a jogging stroller. We haven't been using it as a bike trailer yet, since Thomas is still too young. I've been pushing him to the park these past two days, but somehow, by the time I get him ready and push him to the park, he gets sleepy and cranky! Next time, I have to get everything ready before he wakes up, and leave as soon as he wakes.

Thomas Trying to Stand

Thomas has been trying to stand lately. When I'm laying on the bed, he'd put his hands on my body, and lift himself up to a standing position and then he'd let go. He would fall back down and try again. He does this in his crib too, grabbing hold of the crib and letting go. I always yell at him when he does this, because I'm afraid that when he falls, he'll hit his head against the crib poles. I know that he will really get into things when he starts to stand and walk!

Thomas Kissed Me!

Last night, Thomas was playing with his learning puppy when he suddenly turned towards me and reached for my face. I thought he was going to hit me in the face, but he gave me a big, wet, sloppy kiss with his mouth wide open. He then turned back to his toy. I was so shocked and surprised, and I laughed out loud. He turned back towards me and kissed me again! I figured if I laughed out again, he would kiss me again, and he did! He gave me about 5 kisses before he finally figured he had kissed me enough, and then he started pushing my face away. I told Tony about it, and we tried to get him to kiss us again, but he refused. Tony said he was probably hungry at that time and wanted to taste my face...hehehe...it was his feeding time at that time when he kissed me. Well, whether he was hungry or not, it still was a kiss to me and I loved it!

Thomas' First Time in the Pool

This afternoon, we took Thomas swimming in the pool for the first time. We went to the pool at my sister's (Connie) house in Irvine. Thomas really enjoyed himself there. Since it was his first time, we didn't stay in the water too long. We can't wait to take him again!

Afterwards, we took him to the park next to the pool. Here are some pictures of Tony feeding him his baby food. So far, Thomas' favorite Gerber food is the Turkey rice dinner.

Then we went to visit his 2 cousins, Alan and Andrew, where he sat and played with one of their toys.

Thomas is crawling so fast now!

Thomas is crawling so fast now! I can't leave him alone for even a minute. I put a safety gate on one side of the bed where he usually lays and plays there while I sit next to him. However, when I get off the bed on my side, the first thing he does is quickly crawls over to the edge on my side of the bed! Sometimes, I pretend to get off and leave, and then I'd turn around quickly, and he'd laugh and tries to scoot to the bedside even faster.

Trip to San Diego

Tony had been working so much lately and hasn't been spending much time with Thomas and me, so I decided to book us a trip to San Diego this weekend. We left early Saturday morning and got to our hotel around 11 am. After checking in, we went to Old Town. It was a really nice walking area with lots of restaurants. We had to wait for a while to get a table at one of the restaurants.

That evening, we drove around San Diego, drove past Coronado Beach, and went across the Coronado-Bay Bridge. We went to this huge shopping mall downtown. It was a really nice 2 story open mall. There was a beauty fashion show being filmed there, and we stayed and watched for a while.

The next day, we checked out of our hotel and drove to La Jolla Beach. Tony and I have been there before, and it's one of our favorite beaches. We walked around and Thomas really enjoyed the fresh beach atmosphere. It was such a nice, hot day for the beach! Afterwards, we went to Marie Callender's to eat. Tony and I had our first date at Marie Callender's, and this is our first time going back to this restaurant to eat. It was a wonderful weekend getaway! In fact, the first thing Thomas did when we stepped in our door was cry because he wasn't ready to go home yet!
